The last few weeks have been extremely busy having been at the Exeter Food Festival, Porthleven Food and Music Festival and the Honiton Cyder and Sausage Festival. Apparently the festival season hasn’t kicked off yet!
The Food Festival was a great few days getting to meet some really passionate producers and we loved the filming for Colourborn’s meet the producers video. We managed to get a short Demo in the Darts tent as a taster to the courses we have booked in July at West Town Farm and at Darts Farm.
We’re looking forward to getting back in action at Exeter University and another trip down to Plymouth University. We’re also ready for the Dartington Food Festival to finish off the month.
Last week we took delivery of our brand spanking new Bradley Digital Smoker. Now we’re all for the rustic and home made but when it came to a smoker we really want something we can control so this was the best option for us. We have now smoked Cheese, Fish, Veg, Butter and Sausages. We’re looking forward to getting the Devon Fire Chorizo in there to add another layer of flavour to an already exciting flavour.
Last Friday also saw a first for the carnivores at Good Game.
We were catering at the Bay Horse Inn Totnes for our new Friday night BBQ slot. To look after the good people of Totnes we mad a vegetarian dish and as things go we will be making a few more! Cold Smoked Halumi, Porabello mushroom and tomato burger. This week I am working on a Tikka Paneer Kebab.
Last night we made cheese and added it to marinade this morning.
Exciting times, you may spot some chicken in the pot as it’s for our supper and we can’t have supper without meat it’s not right!
